i was reading one of my old posts down there

re: partnership tax and how it wasnt that bad ... well, it was. easily the most difficult class ive had in this program. what was i thinking. minimum gain chargeback, reverse 704(c) gain, cash-in cash-out model, substantial economic effect, 754 election (especially the 754 election ... good grief), 751(d) (wasnt on the exam thankfully ... at least i dont think it was). these are uncomfortable memories

i wonder if anybody will notice

if i post on this blog. it was probably a bad idea to make a tax-themed blog, seeing as how there is no humor in tax.

partnership tax is actually kind of interesting

corporate tax was stupid boring, individual income tax was mostly just tedious . . . but for some reason partnership tax is actually interesting. so i guess that naming a blawg "subchapter k" is justified

(a) Under the Court's holding that Frank Lyon Co. owned the Worthen bank building, what were the tax consequences of its investment in the property? Under the government's view that the company did not own the building, what were the tax consequences?
